Bedroom Trifle

Hello My Sweets!

We have finally come to the completed bedroom transformation! My goal was to create a more cohesive, pretty, restful, and intentional space. Our bedroom had a mismatch of furniture pieces and a lack of an intentional style. For some reason, it is the last room to be addressed since we moved in 4 years ago. I don’t know about you, but I can actually “feel” a space. My bedroom was so haphazard, it gave me an underlying sense of anxiety. Definitely not the right feel for a bedroom. I am a “figure it out as I go” kind of person, so any sort of interior design master plan was out the window for me. I painted each piece the way I envisioned how each individual piece should look, with an underlying awareness of the need to match the whole. I think it came together pretty well considering I had a big, well-loved, orange and yellow chair to incorporate. In truth, from a purely aesthetic standpoint, I would have liked to remove it. However, like I said in the Box of Chocolates post, it makes me happy, so I blended it in the best I could. For a complete transformation, I also really would have liked to have painted the walls, but as you can see, it’s a pretty big space and more than I wanted to tackle right now. I really hope you enjoyed the series and the transformations. If you missed any of the posts on the individual pieces included in the “after”, here are the links:
